Like many freelancers, we tried every invoicing tool out there. Each one had the same problem: they demanded signups before we could do anything, locked our data in their clouds, and added complexity we did not need.
We asked: why can not invoicing be as simple as opening a document? Why should we trust a third party with our financial data? Why does getting paid require a learning curve?
